At its center is the Chrysanthemum dial, inspired by one of Japan’s national flowers and a long-standing symbol of longevity and renewal. The choice feels deliberate. This is a brand reclaiming its place, not reinventing itself. The dial features the kiku tsunagi-mon pattern, a network of finely intersecting lines traditionally seen in Edo-kiriko glasswork. The effect is subtle yet intricate, catching the light with depth and restraint rather than flash. Inside beats the in-house Caliber 6L35, a slim automatic movement also used in the Seiko Presage line. It offers a 45-hour power reserve and a discreet date window at three o’clock. The stainless steel case stays true to King Seiko’s sharp, angular design language, finished with high-polish surfaces, paired with 50 meters of water resistance and the King Seiko emblem engraved on the caseback.
